Carthaginian battle line, Tunis 255 BC

Xanthippos, the mysterious Spartan general and commander of the Carthaginian army at the Battle of Tunis, slowly walks along the battle line, encouraging his troops.
The Carthaginians were to go on and defeat the Romans in their victory during this first war with Rome. Thus, Carthage was saved and the victorious Xanthippos disappeared from history.
