Following the Claudian invasion of Britain the Roman army faced the Britons opposing them on the North bank of the Medway river.
On day one of the two day battle of the Medway, Vespasianus leads his men across the river by means of a ford found earlier by scouts. Two Centurions act as his personal bodyguard.
A throng of Britannic warriors challenge the Romans, hurling sling stones and blasting war horns.
