Recruiting Balearic slingers, Ebusus 206 BC

Balearic islanders, whose weapon par excellence was the sling, offer their services as mercinaries to a Carthaginian recruiting officer, protected by his Libyan bodyguards.
The sling was the weapon of choice for Iberian herders, to keep predators away from their livestock. However, life as a herder was hard and the living megre. For Carthage, their proficiency in long range skirmishing made them a valuable component of it's armies.
