Roman auxiliary cavalry, trained to swim with their mounts and in full armour cross the Thames. Each cavalry horse has a foot soldiers in tow and weapons, shields and helmets tied to their saddles.
As they struggle to cross the river, are under a constant shower of sling stones from Britannic warriors on the North bank, supported by chariots behind.
It is thought the Romans may have crossed the Thames somewhere near Lower Hope Point, opposite East Tilbury.
