Night attack at Goslub-Osada. 9th September 1939.
On the night of 9th September 1939, Polish forces launched a counter attack against the unsuspecting Germans who were on their approach to the south-western edge of Warsaw and thinly spread along the southern bank of the River Bzura.
Thousands of Polish poured across the waterway and into the largely unsuspecting 30. Infanterie-Division. That night, elements of 1/57 PP struck 1./IR 6 at Goslub-Osada.
The fierce, chaotic night fighting forced the Germans to withdraw.
